Holding the demnse together with both hands, King Giosuele Torri rules over the disparate and fractious Dukes of the Luzar Dynasty. Each hereditary duke is an elector, and they chose a king to preside over them when the previous king dies. This voting is held in person in the halls of Ena Ancalen. The dukes are sequestered into the barren halls of the Luzar, where they only emerge once a new king has been elected. Allowed only water to drink, only once in their history have the dukes been unable to elect a king—resulting in the eventual starvation of all but one of the dukes. This duke-now-king, delirious with hunger, only ruled for 4 days before a newly constituted set of Dukes had to elect a successor.
